so encounter many of the same problems as you do ,In Australia I can still get power supply boards and motors ,for how long i dont know? but main boards are now unavailable ,am trying to source motors other that from brother with not much luck, have you found you are able to reuse the small board the motor is attached to without any probs ?have you found an alternate supplier for the power supply boards?as I think the end is nigh for availability for these

    1. Hi Rich.

Have only had one faulty mainboard and it turned out to be dry/cracked solder so that was a quick repair. I'm currently about to test a power supply board that I've repaired following a motor failure. If my repair is successful I'll post the solution on this site somewhere as it really is a cheap fix! As far as motors go, the parts on the little PCB are all cheap to buy and easy to replace and the board itself can be removed from the motor so I'm pretty sure that it could be re-used. If only we could get some motors from somewhere!

      Cheers!
